Cold and compression therapy has been shown to accelerate healing time for patients. Patients that use bracing have better outcomes, and are able to ambulate quicker. Pairing braces with cryotherapy can help reduce or eliminate the need for potentially dangerous narcotic prescriptions.

What is an EOB? Is this a bill?

The purpose of an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) is to inform you of what has been billed to your health plan by the provider of the goods/services (in this case, Precision Medical Products) and what reimbursement amount we are asking for in return for our provided services.

From here, the health plan will determine a figure that has either been contractually agreed on in advance with us, or they will set an amount they think fair as the starting point for reimbursement – the “allowed amount.” The EOB will show you your expected financial obligations, such as copayment and deductibles, and then show a figure that your health plan will pay to us. The last entry of each line item on the EOB will be titled something along the lines of, “You owe” or “Your responsibility.” This is why some patients confuse an EOB with a medical bill.

If you have any questions, please contact us directly.

Need help? Contact our support line.

For any questions about products, billing, or an EOB please contact your local representative or our customer support team first. Our support team is here to assist you from 8am to 7pm CST.
